Auger and pile rammer specialist EuroGate International has a complete range of augers for different applications. 'A solution for every application.'
Roughly speaking, the range can be divided into different types of augers from small to large. Sales manager Pieter Jansen: "The first is the bulb drill from 3 to 7 centimeters, a runner within our program. This drill can be mounted on a cordless drill and is used for planting bulbs. We sell these drills through our webshop to both gardeners and private users."
The plant auger is also popular among those target groups. It works on the same principle as the bulb drill, but is tailored to plant pots in the standard sizes P7 (7x7cm) and P9 (9x9cm). The plant auger can optionally be used in combination with the RJ110 cordless drill holder. By mounting the cordless drill on the holder, the user can operate it with two hands. "We developed this frame ourselves and it fits any brand of cordless drill. Because the user can use two hands when drilling, his wrists are less stressed. The holder is suitable for both bulb drills and plant drills, as well as regular soil drills up to 15 cm. On the RJ110 is a gearbox with a delay of 1 in 5. This prevents excessive strain when working with larger drills."
EuroGate International also developed the gasoline drill EGI-EJ520 in-house. This machine is equipped with a Honda four-stroke gasoline engine (GX35). The machine has a steel frame and gearbox with slip clutch and can be used in combination with an auger up to 20 cm.
All of EuroGate International's motor augers are equipped with four-stroke engines, as the two-stroke versions are no longer allowed in many cities due to current environmental requirements.
From the American General Equipment, EuroGate International supplies several models. Such as the one-man auger M242H and the two-man auger M332H. These come standard with a locking device. The M332H has Power-FLEX operating levers. These arms are made of plastic and improve vibration absorption, offer ergonomic advantages and smooth operation. This two-man auger is equipped with a Honda GVX160 engine and a HEX 35 mm hexagonal drill connection.
For heavy-duty work, EuroGate has hydraulic augers from Digga. These can be coupled to earthmoving machines from 750 kg to 50-ton excavators. The range includes nearly fifty different drill heads, each with its own specific function and weight class. For example, there are drills for broken rubble and stone, but also for soft Dutch soil and clay soils. Diameters range from 10 cm to 150 cm, depending on the type, class and design. A complete overview of all drills and their specific characteristics can be found on EuroGate International's website.
Like, for example, the hydraulic screw anchor drill head MM-14K for installing screw anchors. That fits on a mini excavator from 1,000 kilograms to 3.5 tons, but has a power of 14,000 newton meters. With a variable flow rate from 20 to 205 bar, this model offers flexibility for different screw anchors. In addition, the very compact machine is also ideal for use with an articulated loader. This screw anchor machine features a compact high-torque gearbox and a high-efficiency Danfoss/Digga Geroler hydraulic motor. Finally, the hydraulic Maruzen Horizontal Drilling Machine can drill as much as seven meters horizontally under a sidewalk or foundation, for example, for pipes and cables.
Jansen: "I dare say we can supply the most complete package in augers from stock. We also get more and more calls for advice on specific jobs. Customers come from everywhere; we already deliver to more than 27 countries. We therefore have a solution for every application."
