This season, REDSUN is expanding its collection with many new products. The company comes with water-leveling stones with climate adaptation in mind, ceramic-topped stones for driveways and new colors and designs.
REDSUN is a manufacturer and supplier of pavers for outdoor spaces, in which it has a very wide range of products in concrete, natural stone and ceramics. This season, the family-owned company is introducing surprising new products. Two trends are proving important: the demand for tiles that suit the changing climate and the preference for a luxurious look in garden paving.
"We are very proud of our water-leveling tile, the new Eliton Aqua," says Arjan van Ommeren, operations manager at REDSUN. "This 30x15x8 cm tile with a natural stone overlay has larger spacers. Between the stones, this allows rainwater to soak into the ground. With the weather becoming more extreme, with more heavy rainfall and longer dry periods, it is important to make the right decisions about stormwater. Pavements that ensure that rainwater does not go into the sewer system but into the soil are a trend. Initially, the demand for such tiles came from the project market. Now a demand is also emerging from individuals. In new housing estates, rainwater cannot go into the sewer system. Then you have to offer a solution for the terrace." The stone has a natural stone coating that is sandblasted and impregnated. "This makes the stone beautiful and keeps it beautiful."
A second trend, Van Ommeren sees, is the demand for products with an extra luxurious look. "This is why we are expanding our Smartton series with the Smartton Mica. This stone has the same quality as the rest of the series, but has a top layer with mica. This gives a shimmering, sparkling effect." In addition, the Cerasun collection is being expanded to include Cerasun for the driveway. "Cerasun is a compound of concrete with a top layer of ceramic. Thus, the stone combines the ease of use of concrete with the beauty of ceramic. Our Cerasun products come in 30×60, 40×80, 60×60 and 80×80, but until recently were always 4 cm thick. Now we also have the 30×60 in 6 cm thick, so you can also use the stones for the driveway."
"We're supplementing our collections with new colors," says Van Ommeren. "You can see that the trend is moving away from the gray tones to more and more warm, earthy tones like taupe and mocha. And we are expanding our ceramics program in a big way, with new designs designed by an Italian design studio. In short: new products, colors and designs, we have an inspiring season."
