Normeco, originally a supplier of grouts, has been producing almost all of its grouts in-house for several years. By keeping production in Valkenswaard and sourcing raw materials locally, the company is able to reduce both transportation costs and its carbon footprint. "This not only results in cost savings of 20 to 30%, our products are also more sustainable as a result," said Jack Weijers, owner of Normeco.
One of the newest products to attract attention in this regard is Aqua Easy, an innovative 1K grouting solution. This grout, made from fine sand measuring 0.2-0.4 millimeters, is affordable because it comes directly from the Valkenswaard factory. "We make high-quality products that are easy to process and long-lasting. Thanks to its high binder content, Aqua Easy can be applied quickly and easily with plenty of water."
The high binder content contributes to Normeco's distinctiveness in the market, Jack believes. This formula is used throughout the range, including the well-known StoneFlex, a polymer grout especially suited for dry stone. "The addition of more binder not only makes our grouts fast and easy to use, but also provides a much longer shelf life for the grouts made." Not unimportant is the grouts' good water permeability. "Especially in these times, that's a big plus."
Normeco delivers to dealers and directly to gardeners if there is no dealer nearby. For orders over $295, there are no shipping costs, which makes it attractive for gardeners to partner with Normeco. "In addition, gardeners can always come to us for advice on the best grouting solution based on the specific substrate and pavement."
