Praktijkcentrum Bomen, IPC Groene Ruimte and Koninklijke Vereniging van Hoveniers en Groenvoorzieners (VHG) have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly strengthen the quality development of Dutch tree specialists. They will do this within the new 'Regiegroep ETW-ETT', which will also provide structural support for ETW and ETT recertifications in the Netherlands.
With this cooperation, the three parties want to contribute to a transparent and reliable quality and recertification system for European Tree Workers (ETW) and European Tree Technicians (ETT) in the Netherlands. These recertifications distinguish certified tree specialists from the rest of the market, and are valued by clients. The Regiegroep ETW-ETT focuses on two core objectives:
1. Establishing a system with clear roles, duties and responsibilities.
2. Setting up efficient (re)certification registration systems under the responsibility of EAC certifying institutions and an activity calendar easily accessible to tree specialists.
An important goal of the cooperation is also the creation of a central ETW/ETT activity agenda, in which knowledge activities are conveniently presented. This agenda offers certified tree specialists and trainers a clear overview of all activities that count toward recertification. This activity agenda will be hosted from Royal VHG.
