'An introductory promotion that is definitely worth trying'

When laying terraces and driveways, it is important, according to sales consultant Jack Weijers of Normeco of Valkenswaard, to ensure that the grout is tailored to the local situation and conditions. "We talk about this regularly with gardeners and other green professionals and this has recently led to an expansion of our product range: Aqua Easy Terrace and Aqua Easy Driveway."

Weijers "The difference between Aqua Easy Terrace and Aqua Easy Driveway is the specific application; Aqua Easy Terrace can be applied very quickly and is ideally suited for the terrace, while the formula of Aqua Easy Driveway can be used with a load of up to 3,500 kg. This is due to a higher concentration of binder, which provides extra strength. This formula is a breath of fresh air compared to a two-component (2k) grout. Both are easy to use and durable. The smart and appropriate application of the right grouting solution always saves money, which is also not insignificant."

Permeable

Aqua Easy is a formula that prevents weed growth. "We have been carrying this one-component (1K) grouting solution in our range for a year now. It is made of a finer sand grain of 0.2-0.4 mm, which makes it even easier to handle and suitable between any tile. The result is a grout that looks nice and even. Incidentally, both have the property of being well to reasonably permeable to water. For even faster water drainage, I recommend choosing the Aqua XP. This is made of a slightly coarser sand grain of 0.4-0.8 mm and handles large amounts of water, although it is important to note that then the substrate must be sufficiently permeable." 

The color of the grouting solution is also important. Weijers: "Aqua Easy is available in five shades; black, basalt, dark gray, light gray and natural, where the gray shade and the natural color are somewhat lighter to better match the trend of lighter tiles in the garden. It is even possible to customize the color from as little as 1,000 kg. The delivery time is then, at four to six weeks, much longer than our products which we have in stock as standard and deliver within two days."

User-friendly grouting solutions

Normeco makes the user-friendly grouting solutions entirely in-house, working with suppliers from their immediate area. Weijers: "We are aware of the impact that a production has and therefore we have recently implemented some changes; the plastic bag in the bucket has disappeared, increasing the content by twenty percent. We also work with a foil over the bucket, which prevents oxygen from reaching the product. It speeds up production, which saves significantly in costs. Because we produce our own and work with suppliers in the immediate area, our transport movements are limited. We reuse cardboard and plastic packaging materials and our premises are equipped with light panels in the roof, so that we only need to turn on the lights in winter. These are a few simple solutions that contribute to a limited ecological footprint and that saves on costs. We like to pass on the benefit to our customers; the price for a bucket, with twenty percent more content, i.e. with 2.5 kg extra of grout solution, we are giving away for free from now on. During the introductory campaign starting January 1, we will supply 1 + 1 bucket for free. Surely that is worth trying."
