Replacing a grating without digging or breaking? That's just one more reason why we frequently see PCK Belgium's gutter systems in Dutch gardens. Founded in 2012, the company has forty years of expertise in drainage technology. In addition to a beautiful design, the products have a very long lifespan and are easy to install. "We are constantly developing based on input from our customers. Almost every year we bring new and improved products to the market," said Mahdi Gardabou, who is responsible for sales and oversees product development together with Peter Schelstraete.
The latest products are of course also going to Hardenberg. PCK has expanded its Star Drain series with a stainless steel version. They have also launched a shallower gutter of this series as well as a new element: the Star Point drainage pit.
The Belgian company cooperates with a large number of dealers in our country. Because they produce everything themselves, they maintain maximum control over fast delivery, optimal value for money and adequate stock.
The gutters are mounted with inlaid top grids in black or natural gray aluminum or Corten steel. And recently also in modern stainless steel. The gratings stabilize the gutters and provide a nice transition from the gutter to the surrounding paving. Thanks to a full matching range of accessories - such as connectors, corner elements and T-elements - the line drainage is easy and quick to install. Because PCK Belgium has always used the same standard dimensions, the gratings are easy to replace. "For example, if one wants a different color, only the grating needs to be replaced and the base can simply remain in place. So that actually makes our products doubly durable."
A great example of the importance PCK attaches to the wishes of their customers is the Top Stone series: "People indicated that they would rather not look down on such a grating. Thereupon our design team decided to lower the gratings slightly in the gutter, so that there is a space at the top that one can fill with stones. Entirely to one's own taste, of course. One can choose pebbles, gravel or granite, as long as the diameter is at least eight millimeters."
However, the Top Stone series offers even more advantages. One is less likely to slip on them and the pebbles reduce rainwater splashing. "They are therefore often used on houses with thatched roofs. On the one hand, because these grids are more in keeping with the rustic look of such a home, and on the other, because rainwater runs off the roof through the thatch. In addition, we see that green professionals also like to apply them at low windows and sliding doors."
The Star Drain series was recently expanded to include a new channel element, the Star Point drainage manhole. "Most contractors don't always have a slope element available to connect the grates. That's why we designed this element. The under outlet of 75/110 ensures that regardless of the pipe coming out of the ground, one can just connect this pit to it. That saves time, cost and extra work."
The new Star Drain "Mini" series has a shallower gutter and therefore offers a solution for places where you cannot go as deep into the ground. "Next year we will come out with an even shallower version, which will be only 35 millimeters high. Ideal for use at door thresholds, for example, where the foundation is often a problem for deeper gutters. With these dimensions you can already solve ninety percent of drainage problems."
