That the products of Becx Machines are eagerly used is evident from the fact that their attachments can be seen on no fewer than seven stands during the Groene Sector Vakbeurs. "Our newest machine has just gone into production," says owner Erwin Hommen enthusiastically. There is also good news about the development of the fully electrically powered version of their 'famous' hedge trimmer, the Becx HS131ER: "The practical test showed that with considerably smaller motors we still have enough power to match the capacity of the hydraulically powered variant!"
At Becx Machines, things are always buzzing. They are curious by nature and like to be at the forefront. That leads to innovative machines, including the pruner HS130ER, which is powered by the battery of the AllTrec 8015.
Together with his right-hand man Koen van den Hurk, Hommen will be present in Hardenberg: "Every year we like to think along with the visitors about what they actually need. What does the customer already have in house and what can we add to that, so that he has the best machine for the work he wants to do?"
To guarantee optimal protection under all weather conditions, at Becx each tool is blasted and provided with a double powder coating. In addition, the machine builder uses only the highest quality materials. The steels used are carefully selected for their function. "It has to be as light as possible, but strong enough to actually do the job well. For example, our HS75HR pruners are built from 1200M steel. As a result, it weighs only 76 kilograms, yet has a working width of 77 centimeters." On the stand, in addition to this model, one will also find the HS210HR which, with a working width of 210 centimeters, can trim many hedges in one pass, making it truly ideal when meters need to be made.
Also included is the mechanically adjustable weed brush OB90M, with a 180-degree swivel range. And the tilting brush head makes it easy to brush even non-flat pavements or gutters. Because no hydraulic swivel options are used, only one hydraulic press and return connection to the carrying vehicle is required.
The MA270 mowing arm with electric proportional control certainly cannot be missing. Becx has developed the operation of this itself, applying a few gimmicks. For example, the machine has the option to pre-set the desired angle of the trimmer and then ensure that the trimmer stays in this position. "For example, if you drive through a pothole in the road that changes the angle of the pruning bucket, the machine automatically corrects this by repositioning the pruner in the chosen position." Finally, Becx includes the DRHS55 double rotator: "We developed this to offer the customer a rotator that is compactly built, but still offers the right freedom of movement."
Enthusiasts of Becx's rugged machines can indulge themselves in halls 5 and 6. Becx can be found in Hall 5 at No. 533, where AllTrec (No. 591) and Van der Klugt Groentechniek (No. 570) are also present. They will show the OBKS90-45 weed brush edge trimmer, the aforementioned HS130ER electrically powered pruner and the MA270 mower arm. In Hall 6, an extension boom, double rotator, mower arm, weed brush and various hedge trimmers from Becx will be on display, distributed among various exhibitors, namely: Avant Machinery (No. 637), Aebi Schmidt (No. 667), Ahlmann (No. 688) and Van Dyck Marcel (No. 683).
