Because it features the latest electric drive technologies, the quad not only offers powerful performance but is also environmentally friendly. For companies concerned with sustainability, such as many landscapers, the FM-240 is therefore an ideal addition to their fleet of machines. Thessa Blaauwbroek, responsible for marketing at Frisian Motors: "Greenkeepers and landscapers attach increasing importance to sustainability and this quad bike fits in perfectly with that. A big plus point is that we supply the quad with road approval as standard. It can therefore drive on public roads, but the user pays no BPM, road tax or additional tax."
The Volmer FM-240 4×4 has a power between 8 and 16 kW and a 72V 150Ah lithium battery. The ability to switch between two- and four-wheel drive including locking function makes the quad suitable for both paved and unpaved terrains. This is an important feature for landscapers who work daily in a variety of locations, from gardens to wooded areas.
By driving fully electric, the user not only avoids CO2 emissions, but also incurs lower maintenance costs and no fuel costs. The range of the FM-240 is eighty kilometers and in eco mode it can even be increased to 100 kilometers. The driving speed is a maximum of 55 kilometers per hour. With a charging time of six hours, the quad is easy to recharge after working hours.
Blaauwbroek: "We were getting more and more demand for an electric work quad, and of course it fits right in our line as a manufacturer of electric work vehicles. At the moment we are further expanding the number of accessories. Standard accessories include a rear luggage box, a rack for tools on the front, road lights, a winch and, of course, all-terrain tires. Optionally, the quad is available with a tow bar or passenger backrest. Coming soon are a snow plow and salt spreader."
In addition to its durable performance, the Volmer FM-240 is designed with practical use in mind. The quad has a towing capacity of 185 kg and a load capacity of 180 kg, making it suitable for transporting tools and materials. So for gardeners looking to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on power or efficiency, the Volmer FM-240 offers the perfect balance. The focus on electric propulsion fits the trend of sustainable mobility within the green sector. Blaauwbroek: "We introduced this quad at the GroenTechniek Holland and Agrotechniek Holland trade fairs and the reactions there were very enthusiastic. Especially because it is a bit larger and therefore more robust. Meanwhile we are giving demos with our dealers. This can be both in the showrooms and at customers' premises."
