At an internationally oriented fair such as GaLaBau, the machine manufacturer Becx Machines obviously cannot be missing. Accordingly, Becx is here for the seventh time. Visitors can get to know their long-standing bestsellers, but this year Becx is bringing something special: the brand new, fully electric-powered version of their "famous" hedge trimmer. "
In addition to various hedge trimmers, we are also showing a weed brush and double rotator. And we are bringing two types of mowing arms, one of which is unique thanks to its electric proportional control," says company manager Koen van den Hurk.
In the previous edition of Greenpro, we wrote about how this implement manufacturer is pioneering the development of an electrically powered hedge trimmer. "Meanwhile, we can report that the most recent tests show that this Becx HS131ER performs extremely well," he said. "The machine really passed the practical test with flying colors. It works great and produces remarkably little noise. Extremely suitable, therefore, for work in residential areas or other areas where noise is not desirable." At GaLaBau, Becx is also showing the electrically powered HS130ER it developed in cooperation with AllTrec, a company that produces electrically powered implement carriers.
At the booth, one can also learn about two hydraulically driven hedge trimmers. The HS75HR is a lightweight model, with a working width of 75 cm and a required oil flow of only 24 liters per minute. Specially developed to still machine a hedge quickly and efficiently with small tool carriers. For the heavier work Becx has designed the HS150HR with a working width of 150 cm. This has a larger capacity and such a robust housing that when attached with, for example, an excavator, no extra bumper bar is needed.
Becx is also taking two types of mowing arms to Germany, including the unique MA270 with electric proportional control. "We presented these at DemoPark Eisenach last year and by now several machines are running to our customers' complete satisfaction. We have developed the controls ourselves and a few gimmicks have been applied that make mechanical hedge trimming easier. For example, the machine has the option to pre-set the desired angle of the trimming bucket and then ensure that the bucket stays in this position. For example, if you drive through a pothole in the road that changes the angle of the pruning bucket, the machine automatically corrects this by returning the bucket to the chosen position."
"The WLA60 mowing arm also comes along. This 'simple' arm allows the trimmer to slide out sixty centimeters and tilt over 105 degrees, so you can actually handle most hedges just fine with an ordinary wheel loader."
In addition, the mechanically adjustable weed brush OB90M will be on display at the booth. Due to its clever construction, it can be fully adjusted as required. Thanks to the large brush with a diameter of ninety centimeters, there is minimal damage to the pavement. In addition, the brush head can be tilted making it easy to brush even non-level pavements or gutters.
Finally, Becx brings along the DRHS55 double rotator. "We developed this one to offer the customer a rotator that is compactly built, but offers the right freedom of movement."
Together with owner Erwin Hommen, Van Den Hurk will be present at booth 301 in Hall 9. They look forward to telling visitors all about their machines, such as the cutting system patented by Becx. "We always enjoy getting personally acquainted with the users and thinking with them about the best solution," says Hommen.
