Designed for durability and efficiency

Compact and affordable robotic mower for smaller sports fields

With the Belrobotics brand, Yamabiko Europe continues to pioneer the development of advanced robotic mowers designed specifically for sports fields. The latest model, the Bigmow BM-850, is a more compact, lighter and economical version that perfectly suits the needs of high-density sports fields such as soccer, rugby and baseball fields. This new model offers the same efficient mowing results as its larger predecessors, but with improved usability and affordability.

The BM-850 autonomously drives back to its docking station to recharge and resumes its mowing pattern without intervention.

What sets the BM-850 apart from its bigger brothers, such as the Bigmow BM-1050 and BM-2050, is the number of mowing heads. While the larger models are equipped with three to five cutting heads for larger areas, the BM-850 features two cutting heads. This makes the machine not only more compact and lighter, but also ideal for smaller sports complexes with natural grass where the excess capacity of the larger models is not needed. As a result, the BM-850 offers a more efficient and cost-effective solution without sacrificing mowing performance.

Cost savings

The introduction of robotic mowers has revolutionized sports field maintenance. Where manual mowing was previously common, these autonomous machines now take care of mowing without emissions, without human intervention and with the added benefit of mulching - a process in which a thin layer of organic material is left on the lawn. This results not only in cost savings, but also in an environmentally friendly approach to sports field maintenance.

The WiseNav® 4.7 update offers many benefits, including easy linking of zones and GPS paths for accurate navigation.

Belrobotics' larger models, such as the Bigmow BM-1050 and BM-2050, have already proven effective on large sports complexes and golf courses. However, with the BM-850, Yamabiko is targeting smaller clubs, where the same care and efficiency are required, but in a more economical package.

Less fertilizing

Onno Brenninkmeijer, Account Manager for the Dutch market at Yamabiko, explains, "The BM-850 is designed as an excellent price-performance alternative within our range. It is fully adapted to soccer, rugby and baseball fields with high density and more compact dimensions, and offers the same professional mowing quality as its big brothers." Brenninkmeijer highlights the BM-850's advanced technology, which includes precise GPS/RTK navigation and two floating mowing heads. "Thanks to its compact size and light weight of only 25 kg, the BM-850 is easy to transport and quickly operational, with a charging time of only 55 minutes."

One of the advantages of the BM-850 is its environmentally friendly operation. "With a robotic mower like the BM-850, CO2 emissions and energy costs can be reduced up to ten times compared to traditional gasoline-powered mowers," Brenninkmeijer said. In addition, the mulching system provides nutrients to the soil, reducing the need for fertilizer.

Intuitive app

In addition to its ecological benefits, the BM-850 also offers practical advantages for users. The robot can be easily controlled via a user-friendly configuration panel and an intuitive app, which allows remote setting changes. Safety is another priority in the design of the BM-850, with features such as collision detection, lifting protection and an integrated emergency stop button.

"Our robotic mowers are designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind. They not only reduce the workload, but also contribute to a greener future," said Brenninkmeijer. The BM-850 autonomously drives back to its docking station to recharge and resumes its mowing pattern without intervention. This makes it an ideal solution for sports clubs seeking cost savings without sacrificing quality.

For customers looking for alternative options, Yamabiko also offers the same high-quality technology under the Echo brand. "Echo is a well-established brand within our group and is known for its quality and reliability," said Brenninkmeijer. "The robotic mowers under the Echo brand are technically identical to those of Belrobotics, but are distinguished by a different color and branding. This offers our customers more freedom of choice and the ability to select a brand that best suits their preferences and needs."

Extensive dealer network

Yamabiko has an extensive and expert dealer network to provide the best service and support to their clients in the Netherlands. Brenninkmeijer explains: "We highly value the expertise and proximity of our dealers. They play a crucial role in the success of our robotic mowers, from installation to maintenance and user support."

With fifteen specialized dealers throughout the Netherlands, sports clubs and other users can always count on quick and expert help. These dealers are not only responsible for selling the robotic mowers, but also for advice and installation. Clients who prefer to contact Yamabiko directly, Brenninkmeijer directs them to the nearest dealer, who then contacts the client for personal advice and further handling. "This working method ensures that customers always receive the best possible service, regardless of their location.
