Inter-Techno recently delivered the first series of 30 Bobcat telescopic handlers to the Ministry of Defense. The machines were then transferred to the Royal Army. The 30 telehandlers are part of an order totaling 71 machines, which Inter-Techno had won after a tender in 2023. The telehandlers of type TL25.60 and TL35.105L will be used for logistic support at various army units. During this year, 20 more machines will be delivered. The last 18 machines will be delivered in 2025; including to the Air Mobile Brigade. Inter-Techno also has a contract for major maintenance, repairs and damage repair of the telescopic handlers for the next 10 years.
Bobcat telescopic handlers are intended for the Royal Army, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. There, they are used for logistical support, such as loading and unloading goods and equipment. In April, three TL30.60 telescopic handlers had already been delivered to the navy in Den Helder. These machines are used for logistics work on board ships and on the quay.
For the Army, the TL25.60 is an ideal machine because of its very compact dimensions and small turning radius. The telehandler can lift a weight of up to 2500 kilos, while the maximum lifting height is 6 meters. The TL35.105L has a lifting height of 10.5 meters and can lift a weight of 3,500 kilos. Among other things, this machine will be used for loading and unloading containers
The Bobcat telescopic handlers are of course delivered in the familiar army green, but have also undergone some technical modifications. For example, the machines are equipped with a front and rear tow bar, special black-out lights, cameras, a blockheater, a first aid kit and a weapon support.
The telehandlers for the Air Mobile Brigade, part of the Royal Army, are equipped with additional lifting eyes for transport under helicopters. For deployment in other regions, the engine's cooling fan can be reversed so that dirt and dust are blown away above the radiator. In cooperation with Bobcat, the engine can be converted to Stage III, so that the machines can be used without problems in areas where only diesel with a high sulfur content is available.
Special pallet forks are also supplied with the telescopic handlers for defense purposes. The length of the forks can be adjusted to the pallet shape and load using a fold-down board, so that the pallet forks never protrude and cannot cause damage to the load or material.
