One is the perfect solution for maintaining green areas, roadsides and grounds, while the other is made for splitting tree trunks and is ideal for clearing and processing wood. With the introduction of a new line of flail mowers for attachment to mini and midi excavators, family-owned Pladdet B.V. meets the need for efficient and easy mowing. De Putter: "With its advanced flail-cutting technology, this machine offers a uniform cut even in dense areas. The flail mower is suitable for mowing tall upright crops and is not bothered by obstacles such as branches or debris. The mower effectively shreds vegetation through rotating flails. Because the flail mower is connected to the excavator, the operator can easily reach everything and it is unnecessary to drive the machine across the ditch with much hassle." 

The flail mower is available in two different models and are the first in a series to follow. Eline: "We supply the PFM1-800, with a of machine class from 2.5 to 4 tons. It is equipped with nine flails, has a cutting width of 80 and 100 cm and the dimensions are 995 x 850 x 670 mm. The second model is the PFM2-1000, where the machine weight is 4 to 9 tons, equipped with twelve flails and is available with cutting widths of 80 and 100 cm. This model is slightly larger, namely: 1260 x 860 x 680 mm. The warranty period is as for almost our entire range, three years. However, not on the wear parts of the machine, such as the flails." 

Wood splitter

Pladdet's hydraulic log splitter is made to split logs and is ideal when harvesting and processing wood. Eline: "Splitting wood provides a natural drying process, resulting in a higher energy density of the wood. In addition, it is easier to transport the split material to the chipper. With the wood splitter attached to the excavator, the log is split and loaded in one step. The flail mower and wood splitter are both part of our forestry equipment. We also represent a wide range of Westtech brand forestry equipment, such as tree trimmers."
