Tre Emme implement carriers are tractors specially designed for roadside maintenance, forest management, snow removal... Importer De Lille calls them "the reference in their segment" due to their high quality and technical cleverness. This certainly applies to the updated Tre Emme MM 160MC, which can be used everywhere all year round as a true "all-rounder.
Tre Emme is a subsidiary of the well-known Italian telehandler manufacturer Merlo. And just like those telehandlers, the Tre Emme MM 160MC can be used all year round thanks to its wide range of accessories: from edge mowers to snow ploughs. Not for nothing was it nominated for the "Golden Clover Four" during last year's GroenTechniek Holland trade fair.
The fact that Tre Emme is part of the Merlo group has great advantages for users of the 160MC. For example, the standard parts can be produced in large numbers and this provides a maintenance guarantee for the future, because it means competent long-term support.
What immediately stands out about the renewed 160MC tractor is the modern, extra spacious and suspended CS cab, familiar from several new Merlo telescopic handlers. Thanks to blindage and FOPS level II, this left-side suspended cab is very suitable for forest management and forestry. The large glass surfaces and thin pillars offer the operator panoramic visibility, without the use of a complicated rotating cab. Also positive are the always smooth entry and exit and the quiet, professional air conditioning. Did you know that Merlo has its own climate chamber to test machines and their cabs under all kinds of climatic conditions: from cold and precipitation to high temperatures?
As a tool carrier, the 160MC knows no equal. It is compact and robustly built and has a three-point linkage front and rear. Not only does it easily allow an implement arm to be built up, it also has a hydraulic system with sufficient power to lift up to four tons. By using a smart LoadSensing system, high revs are no longer necessary, resulting in higher productivity at lower fuel consumption. A special feature of this machine is the trouble-free and smooth mounting and dismounting of implements, using all four sides, making the 160MC a true "all-rounder.
The 160MC also keeps up well in terms of travel speed: limited to a maximum of 40 km/h. The lifting and driving power is provided by a Stage IV Deutz four-cylinder diesel engine with 115 kW (156hp). The unique, hydrostatic Merlo CVTronic transmission ensures smooth power transmission, while the EPD control system utilizes the high engine torque and thus keeps the engine speed as low as possible. The result of this clever cooperation is significantly lower fuel consumption; proof is provided via an "instant consumption monitor" on the digital dashboard.
Through the powerful online "DL Connect" the machine can be followed (Track&Trace) as well as monitored, with all electronic signals and data being remotely readable and translated into clear notifications. These are then actively sent (so-called "push" notifications).
Not yet a hot topic everywhere, but it is becoming one: the homologation of such "composite machines. This is often not very clear (which standard, which category). Since the TreEmme MM160MC was developed specifically for this purpose, it complies with the European regulation EU 167/2013, including the factory-installed cutting arm.
The West Flemish family business De Lille nv is a specialist in, among other things, vertical transport. Founded in 1968 as an agricultural mechanization company (and never completely abandoned) and with almost 35 years of experience in the import and distribution of Merlo products, the machines of the Merlo Group are distributed throughout the Benelux. In addition, De Lille Group is fully committed to easy availability of parts, with automated stock management and availability in after-sales service.
"For knowledge in operation, maintenance and repair, efforts are also made to computerize these things. Personal contact is not lost sight of here, thanks to a help desk and training where the people who do it are central. With this mix of "man & machine" we look to the future and, with the brands of the Merlo group, literally and figuratively reach for the means to take things to the next level!"
