'Mowers are important part of our landscaping program'

Optimal comfort even on very uneven terrain

Last year, Bobcat introduced the first models of its new mower line for the European market. The line consists of two riding mowers, a stand-on mower and a walk-behind mower. In addition, Bobcat has a number of flail and brush cutters in the range that can be used as attachments on excavators and wheel and track loaders. With its compact machines, extensive line of attachments, mowers and Ryan lawn care equipment, Bobcat offers a complete program for landscapers and greenkeepers.

Bobcat's mower line includes two zero-turn riding mowers, the ZT3000 and ZT3500. Both are powered by 20-24 HP Kawasaki FT engines and have hydrostatic transaxles. The ZT3000 can be equipped with a 122 cm, 132 cm or 155 cm wide TufDeck Pro mowing system and has a maximum cutting speed of 12.8 km/h. The ZT3500 zero-turn riding mower also has hydrostatic transaxles and reaches a speed of 16 km/h. Thanks to the comfortable, mechanically sprung seat, the mower offers optimum comfort; even on uneven terrain. The mower is also equipped with a ROPS construction, two fuel tanks and a durable TufDeck Pro mowing system.

Stand-on and walk-behind mower

The ZS4000 stand-on zero-turn mower offers excellent visibility of the job site and can maneuver quickly around trees and flower beds at a speed of 16.8 mph. The ZS4000 mower has a 20 or 24 HP FT-series Kawasaki engine and hydrostatic transaxles. The mower can be equipped with heavy-duty 122 cm, 132 cm or 155 cm AirFX decks, which feature Air-Gap air valves for improved airflow and solid steel axles. The ZS4000 gets through tough and tall grass with ease thanks to an innovative technology that pushes the grass toward the cutting blade.

The WB700 walk-behind mower is equipped with a powerful, hydraulic drive system that makes mowing low-force and gentle on the lawn. The WB700 can accurately mow around obstacles and along walls and fences. The mower has a 15.0 or 18.5 HP Kawasaki engine from the FS series, which enables a speed of 10.5 mph. The WB700 can be equipped with a 122 cm or 132 cm TufDeck mowing system with steel blades.

The mowers all have typical Bobcat features, such as high productivity and long service life. Special attention has been paid to robust, durable construction and easy maintenance so that the machines are always ready for use. Thanks to the wide wheelbase and a low center of gravity, the machines are very stable in all types of terrain. And of course, they deliver a perfect mowing result. Multiple configurations for the mowers are available with different mower decks, chipping and collecting systems and safety features.

Flail mowers

Bobcat is known for its extensive range of attachments, which also give landscapers a wide arsenal of implements at their disposal. These include a number of robust, self-levelling flail mowers. The two models, the SL FM 60 and SL FM 85, are compatible with Bobcat mini-excavators in the 1.7 to 3.5 tonne range. The SL FM 60 is equipped with 32 blades, has a cutting width of 60 cm and a hydraulic flow rate of 16-38 l/min. The SL FM 85, which can be equipped with hammer or cutter flails, has a cutting width of 85 cm and a hydraulic flow rate of 36-70 l/min. A unique feature of the new flail mowers is a drum brake circuit that stops the attachment within 12 seconds. For added safety, the flail mowers are also equipped with wear-resistant protective covers to divert debris.

Flail mowers are great for cutting grass and shrubs on uneven terrain where other mowers do not perform optimally. They have rollers so they can accurately follow the contours of the ground.

Brushcat and brushcutter

Two brushcutters are available for Bobcat skid-steer loaders. The Brushcat has a rotary cutter that easily removes tough grass, shrubs and brush on difficult terrain. The brushcutter allows quick and easy removal of shrubs and other vegetation; for example, to create firebreaks, clean up fields and create paths. The brush cutter can cut slightly below ground level so that it does not leave stumps behind. The steel grates protect the operator from flying pieces. Another option for skid-steer loaders is the flail mower, which can follow the ground profile well thanks to its floating suspension and compact deck length. The tailgate is adjustable so the operator can vary the size of material ejected from fine to coarse. The full-width tapered rear roller improves turning ability.
