Since the launch of the Navimow H-Series in 2021, Segway has achieved notable milestones in the European market. Not only were 40,000 units of the mowing robot sold in a short time, but the brand quickly gained popularity. The time has come for a budget-friendly, simple and handy model for smaller gardens .
Navimow i-Series offers smart features for a simple yet efficient lawn mowing experience. Truly something for novice mowers. Unlike most robotic mowers that use a random mowing route, the Navimow i-Series has a nice and clean zig-zag mowing pattern, and that ensures that no square inch of grass escapes. The mowing pattern also changes once the first round of mowing for 100% is completed; thus, the lawn is evenly treated from a different angle.
Lawn edges are always a challenge for both robotic and non-robotic mowers. To address this, the Navimow i-Series features an enhanced Real Time Kinematic system, allowing visual signals to complement satellite signals. With Segway's edge sensing feature, users can adjust the boundaries to any part of their yard and enter a very precise cutting pattern. In the default setting, the machine stays within the virtual border and then a narrow strip of grass is created on the side. But when the machine is set to Ride-on Boundary mode, the mower will drive across the physical boundary between grass and non-grass areas to cut even closer to the edge.
The H-Series is the premium product line that features the most comprehensive smart features to make mowing as easy as possible. Deliberately designed to be budget-friendly, agile and simple, the i-Series is designed to help beginners or traditional users effortlessly transition to cordless robotic mowers.
Navimow i-Series is significantly cheaper than other cordless robotic mowers. But it still manages to match quality with competitive prices.
George Ren, CEO Navimow - Segway: "After the successful debut of our first-generation product, we saw a burgeoning market for cordless robotic lawn mowers. There appeared to be a need for an accessible, easy-to-use and cost-effective model to accelerate market penetration and so the idea of releasing the Navimow i-Series was born."
"In doing so, we listened very carefully to our users. In fact, they gave us very interesting feedback on the design and features of the Navimow i-Series. This drew our attention to a notable challenge, namely the sensitivity of the RTK-based navigation system to interference from trees, high walls and shrubs, especially in smaller gardens. To address this issue, we opted for an improved RTK system, which allows visual signals to complement satellite signals, ensuring uninterrupted navigation. In addition, our proprietary AI algorithms improve the analysis of environmental data, which in turn ensures seamless operation."
"Finally, we also take into account a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach. In fact, with Segway we have had a tight preference for intelligent and sustainable solutions for years. So we plan to make our robotic mowers even more efficient in the future, with minimal noise pollution. To ensure a long life of each device, we avoid excessive use of non-degradable parts and materials," concludes George Ren.
