For projects requiring high efficiency
For landscapers who want to finish big jobs quickly, EuroGarden delivers the ECHO PB-8010 leaf blower. This one, contrary to the current trend, is not equipped with a battery, but with a low-emission motor. "We still have to deal with a tension of continuity and workability for work in green space," says ECHO.
ECHO's latest enhancement is the "most powerful, back-carried leaf blower in the world," said Johan Teeuwen, category manager at EuroGarden. "Greenkeepers want to be able to do the job efficiently, and the power of this machine exceeds anything that can be done with battery power. For example, it has a blowing force of 44.4 Newtons, which has been tested according to standard ANSIB175.2. So every brand can present that standard to compare machines properly."
The PB-8010 has a professional motor of 79.9 cc/4.2 kW and weighs 11.3 kg. It produces an air volume of 1,818 m3/h and a maximum air speed of 94.5 m/s. The leaf blower comes standard with a lap belt that keeps it securely in place. In addition, the reaction force of the machine on the arm is low and there is the option of opening or closing the back plate. Says Teeuwen, "This leaf blower can also be used as an air broom in the summer. If carrying the machine on the back becomes too hot, the user can open the back plate, allowing the intake air to partially flow down the back for cooling. There is also a large air filter on top of the machine that can be accessed without tools. The motor is easy to access for regular inspection and maintenance."
The machine has a lot of power due to the internal combustion engine, but ECHO also invested in keeping the weight as low as possible. "Therefore, many carbon parts were used. The anti-vibration system ensures high damping of vibrations. Ergonomics were also considered: the position of the throttle handle can be adjusted to the user's height. Furthermore, the latter can also adjust the angle at which he bends his wrist. The professional user can therefore work with it for a long time and comfortably."
Pretty special to bring attention to a gasoline-powered machine in today's day and age. "We also have battery-powered machines, of course, but the end user must still have the choice of a high-powered machine. We can want all machines to eventually be electrically powered, but that's really not technically possible yet. There is still a tension with continuity and workability in the green space. Both versions can coexist, we think. This engine has low emissions but high power. So the work is done faster and the staff is less stressed. It is therefore ideal for jobs where efficiency must be high, such as at events or around a soccer stadium."
The ECHO PB-8010 was introduced at the Groen Techniek Holland fair and is now available. EuroGarden supplies the machines through a network of professional dealers. "We believe in the added value of locally present dealers with service and good advice. We offer our dealers product training and technical training so that they can support end users with advice on the right machine and with repairs."
