The new STIHL FS 561 C-EM brushcutter for forest and landscape maintenance.

It is also the first STIHL brushcutter to be equipped with the fully electronic engine management system M-Tronic 3.0 with automatic calibration function. This means that the machine excels in every working situation thanks to its high power and excellent acceleration. She can effortlessly handle a wide range of forest and landscape maintenance tasks. Its range of applications extends from bush mowing and removal to large-scale work in woody grass, trimming thorny hedges and undergrowth, chopping and sawing, crop and sapling maintenance and forest fire prevention. The FS 561 C-EM is ideally suited for fast mowing. In fact, when working with cutting wire, the brushcutter has the largest cutting circle (560 mm) of any machine on the market. This allows users to improve their efficiency with 17% compared to a cutting circle of 480 mm. The machine is compatible not only with the wire cutting head, but also with many other cutting tools. In addition to the cutting variant with triangle blade there is also a forestry variant with circular saw blade. The brushcutter also impresses with its ease of use: thanks to the simple starting system and the STIHL ErgoStart, it is very easy to start. In addition, the STIHL 4-point anti-vibration system reduces vibrations in the partial load range. This significantly eases the strain on the user's joints and muscles and makes work less tiring.

More power

With an output of 2.8 kW, the new FS 561 C-EM is now the most powerful brushcutter in the STIHL range. Its STIHL 2-MIX engine guarantees high performance in all working conditions. The machine also impresses with its excellent acceleration. It is therefore ideally suited for large-scale maintenance and clearance work in landscaping, the care of crops and young plants in forestry or mowing work in forest fire prevention.

Largest cutting radius when used with a wire

When used with a wire, the new machine offers a 560-millimeter cutting radius, the largest of any brushcutter on the market. This makes work progress quickly and allows the user to work 17% more efficiently compared to a 480-millimeter cutting circle. Besides different wire mowing heads, you can also equip the machine with various grass blades, triangle blades, circular saw blades and even a shredding blade. It is thus highly suitable for a variety of tasks in forest and landscape maintenance. The FS 561 C-EM is available as a mowing variant with triangle blade and as a forestry variant with circular saw blade. With the circular saw blade STIHL WoodCut 250-26 supplied as standard, you can also cut larger-diameter trees during maintenance work.

M-Tronic with new calibration function

The FS 561 C-EM is the first brushcutter from STIHL equipped with the fully electronic engine management system M-Tronic 3.0. The system determines the ignition timing and fuel metering in every operating condition. In doing so, it takes external factors such as temperature and altitude into account. This ensures optimum engine performance, constant maximum speed and excellent acceleration capability. If necessary, the user can also perform a calibration cycle: simply start the machine, let it idle, accelerate to full speed and you're done! The maximum speed is immediately available. The memory function automatically saves the settings made and takes them into account the next time the machine is started.

Improved ergonomics reduces physical strain

STIHL's optimized 4-point anti-vibration system with elastomer damping elements reduces vibrations transmitted to the handles in the part-load range. This significantly reduces the strain on the user's joints and muscles and ensures smooth and less tiring operation of the machine. The dual handle is also improved and ergonomically designed. The slope and shaft position can be adjusted to the user's needs without tools. Even the details contribute to the comfort of work: the suspension plate to hang the brushcutter on the harness now has ten holes. This facilitates individual adaptation to the user and the task to be performed, resulting in excellent balance, especially when working on slopes. The universal STIHL ADVANCE PLUS harness with comfort hook, which comes with the mowing version of the FS 561 C-EM, allows you to hook and unhook the brushcutter easily and quickly. The forestry version of the brushcutter is equipped with the STIHL ADVANCE X-TREEm forestry belt, which offers optimal wearing comfort thanks to the length-adjustable back section and continuous weight distribution between the hips and shoulders.

Simplified service and maintenance

The ease of maintenance of the FS 561 C-EM promotes greater profitability. The easily accessible air filter offers long service life and long maintenance intervals. The transmission mechanism is accessible via a simple screw for lubrication. In addition, the engine electronics of the FS 561 C-EM can be diagnosed. This means that you can easily read out the most important system data in a specialized workshop using a diagnostic device. So you can quickly and easily detect and repair any malfunctions.
