Regional Manager Netherlands Marc Kipperman, together with his colleagues, looks back on a successful open day, which Marcel Van Dyck Netherlands organized for the first time this year. The company is an importer and distributor of machinery for garden, park, road maintenance, agriculture and forestry. On June 6, they opened their doors to introduce green professionals to their wide arsenal, with the electrically driven machines being put in the spotlight. Kipperman: "The visitors responded incredibly enthusiastically to this event. Looking at and trying out a machine is really something different than looking at a photo or video."
"We wanted to introduce visitors to our latest concepts for themselves, especially in the field of electrically driven machines. Our entire range of machines was on display, by the way, because we think it's important for users to experience for themselves how effective, solid and durable our products are. Most people were pleasantly surprised by the driving comfort and ease of operation. And because of the presence of product specialists from the manufacturers who had come especially to our event, we were able to answer even the most complicated customer questions," Kipperman continued.
Marcel van Dyck is originally a Belgian company that also has many Dutch customers. "Due to the corona measures, it was more difficult to serve them well for a while, so we decided to open a branch in Made as well. We just want to be as close as possible to our customers. And we succeeded, because now we have national coverage in the Netherlands in terms of sales and service points. And given the success of the open days at our southern neighbors, we thought it was a good idea to organize such a day in our country as well."
The company is an importer of several brands of machines for the green space professional and its customers include government agencies, landscapers, contractors and recreational area managers. Well-known multipurpose brands they carry are Brock, Multihog and Sabo/Stella. "For the open day, we built a complete combination for mowing, pruning and sweeping with collection especially for municipal landscaping. The electrically powered sweepers with a load capacity of two or six cubic meters, can brush and collect in one pass." Also interesting to see up close were Alken's sustainable, electric vehicles. These are available in six models, both two- and four-passenger versions, with the choice of forty body systems. "So the green professional can come to us for any type of machine, whether it's a simple dump truck, a crane or a boom lift."
Service equipment with national coverage means the company can simply load its customers' machines on site for maintenance or repair. "We also come to their aid in case of calamities on the road. An advantage in such cases is that we have our own spare parts supply in the Benelux. That certainly benefits the speed of our service.
Marcel Van Dyck Netherlands wants to strengthen its organization, so it recently appointed Andre Curzydlo as sales manager who will focus entirely on the gray sector. It also wants to further increase its brand awareness in the market. Given this year's success, they therefore plan to organize another open day in 2025. "So anyone who would like to see and try out our machines for themselves, or be well informed about the various possibilities, I recommend keeping a close eye on our website. As soon as we have pinned down the date of the next open day, we will announce it online. But those who cannot wait that long are of course always welcome to contact us for an on-site demo," Kipperman concludes.
