More and better public green space?

If you walk or cycle through an average residential area in the Netherlands with a green gaze, you are sometimes closer to crying than laughing: gray gravel and tiles often determine most of the view. And although initiatives such as façade gardens and 'tile-swapping' are on the rise and sometimes alleviate some of the distress, the vast majority of Dutch people still prefer to opt for maintenance-free and a sleek fence from an average hardware store.
